Aneurysms
An aneurysm is a serious condition in which a weakened section of an artery or vein causes the blood vessel to enlarge or bulge, often reaching two to three times its normal diameter.
Aneurysms can develop in blood vessels throughout the body and may remain unnoticed until they become large or rupture.
If an aneurysm bursts, it can cause severe internal bleeding, making it a life-threatening medical emergency that requires immediate treatment. The risk of rupture may increase with factors such as high blood pressure and the size of the aneurysm.
