- Three main blood vessels supply blood to the intestine.
- Blood supply to the intestines is reduced because blockages or plaque in blood vessels leads to intestine attack.
- In this condition, a patient gets pain 20-30 min after meals.
- This is a very serious condition and if not treated early or in time carries 100% mortality.
- This can be corrected by Endovascular (Angioplasty/stenting) or open surgery (Bypass) to maintain blood flow to the intestines.
