Mesenteric Ischemia

Three main blood vessels supply blood to the intestine.
Blood supply to the intestines is reduced because blockages or plaque in blood vessels leads to intestine attack.
In this condition, a patient gets pain 20-30 min after meals.
This is a very serious condition and if not treated early or in time carries 100% mortality.
This can be corrected by Endovascular (Angioplasty/stenting) or open surgery (Bypass) to maintain blood flow to the intestines.
