- Diabetic foot is a vast disease in itself.
- Multiple foot problems from minor to major happens in patients with diabetes and some of them can lead to foot & leg amputation.
- Most diabetic foot patients have Vasculopathy and Neuropathy.
- This can be the reason for most non-healing ulcers and gangrene when proper care is taken along with modified shoes calibrated with foot mapping this incidence can be reduced.
- Sometimes it requires correction of blood flow with angioplasty or bypass to improve blood flow and prevent amputation.
